Salzgitter

Salder Castle closed for a short time - but extra opening days between the years!

Due to extensive construction work for the upcoming large PLAYMOBIL Winter Magic special exhibition at the Salder Castle Municipal Museum, which opens on November 30, Salder Castle must remain closed to guests from Monday, November 3 through Wednesday, November 13.

However, the exhibition venue "Pferdestall" is open as usual.

There is a really great bonus as a consolation: Between Christmas and New Year, the museum would actually be closed from December 24 to January 1, 2026 inclusive. But due to the PLAYMOBIL Winter Magic special exhibition by PLAYMOBIL Diorama Artist Oliver Schaffer in the "Kuhstall" exhibition room, the museum will also be open after Christmas on the following days: On Saturday, December 27, Sunday, December 28 and Tuesday, December 30, young and old figure fans can come to Salder for frosty excursions - the show will then open as usual from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and admission is, as always, free!

Together, young and old can immerse themselves in the fascinating world of PLAYMOBIL, which will transport them into the magic of the cold season. The well-known PLAYMOBIL diorama artist Oliver Schaffer creates an unforgettable experience: in his inimitable way, he stages fascinating, sparkling winter wonderlands from thousands of lovingly arranged PLAYMOBIL figures. Imaginative, playful and in love with detail, his works reflect the spirit of winter and the Christmas season in all its facets. And as well as wonderful large-scale scenes in the special exhibition area, there is also plenty to discover in the castle!
Young and old alike can be inspired by the PLAYMOBIL winter magic and experience an inspiring break from everyday life!
