Various stands will be set up on the square with exciting offers from organizations, companies, associations and the city of Salzgitter, which will use this opportunity to present themselves and their work. Visitors will be able to obtain a wide range of information.
The City of Salzgitter's senior citizens' office will be represented at several stands. As part of the city of Salzgitter's "Heat Protection Plan 65+", the senior citizens' office will be handing out sun protection hats at its stand and providing visitors with still water in small tasting portions - while stocks last.
In addition, all visitors are invited to take part in the "How do you want to live in old age?" survey.
The Seniorenbeirat will set up a box for suggestions and criticism, which visitors are welcome to fill in.
The "Local alliances - taking the fear out of dementia" network - funded by the BMFSFJ (Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth) - offers people with dementia and their relatives support services and promotes understanding of dementia. Various stations will be available for interested visitors at the network's stand.
A varied program is also offered on the stage:
After the official opening at 10 a.m., things get off to a lively start with light squat gymnastics from the Fredenberg Forum, before the music of the "Schnulzenreiter" and "Sixtees" provide great entertainment. Drum Bob", the Kwiatkowski dance school and "Linedance" invite you to join in the drumming and dancing. Once again this year, there are lots of great prizes to be won at bingo, before the shanty choir of the naval comradeship provides a stylish finale.
Silent hour
As with many other events, there will also be a "silent hour" on Senior Citizens' Day. There will therefore be no performances or music at the end of the event.
However, the exhibitors' stands can still be visited and will be happy to answer visitors' questions.
