The event will be accompanied by the "Ascension" group from MTV Salzgitter with a variety of dance performances.
The award ceremony will take place as part of the "StadtStrand Salzgitter". The city of Salzgitter and Wirtschafts- und Innovationsförderung Salzgitter GmbH (WIS) are extending the vacation feeling with this event and have brought the beach directly to Klesmerplatz in the city center of the district until Sunday, August 31.
Which winners of CITY CYCLING and SCHOOL CYCLING will be honored?
The participants in CITY CYCLING and SCHOOL CYCLING with the most kilometers as well as the following teams will be honored on the stage at Klesmerplatz:
- Most active leisure cycling team (most kilometers per capita)
- Most active cycling job team (most kilometers per capita)
- Most active cycling village team (most kilometers per capita)
- Most active school cycling team (most kilometers per capita)
- School team with the most total kilometers
- The most bicycle-active local politician
The winners of the CITY CYCLING and SCHOOL CYCLING will only be revealed on the day.
For the first time, all participants who cycle more than 100 kilometers during the campaign period will be entered into a prize draw to win a high-quality e-bike worth 3,500 euros. The sponsor Radstudio Salzgitter and the sponsor Volksbank BraWo were thus able to create additional incentives for participation. The new sponsors of SCHULRADELN, BKK Salzgitter and BKK Public, will be on hand to present the awards to the pupils.

A total of 194,806 kilometers were cycled. By not using the car or taking the bus, a total of 32 tons of CO2 emissions were avoided.
