"WortStark mit Schneewittchen & Co." is the name of the associated project of the Salzgitter City Library, which is financially supported by the Salzgitter Community Foundation. The current project has now come to an end with a performance of the fairytale stage in front of a delighted young audience in the city library.

After the girls and boys had experienced a picture book cinema on one day, they were shown a storytelling theater on the following day. The picture cards of this Kamishibai provided the material for the children to talk about the fairy tale together with the storyteller. The activities were accompanied by crafting and painting on the fairytale theme.

"With this project, children experience language as a means of communication in a completely natural and simple way. Through play, they develop an enthusiasm for language by having fun telling stories and expressing what they have seen and heard in their own words," says library employee Monika Schindler, who is in charge of the project at Fredenberg, enthusiastically about the "WortStark" idea.
