Salzgitter

Mayor Klingebiel: Campaign "Salzgitter. Together. Safe. Clean." starts

Mayor Frank Klingebiel explains: "Everyone can do something for cleanliness and safety. This is the main message of our publicity campaign, which will now support the "Salzgitter, safe and clean 2.0" project.

We want to show quite simply and unequivocally what it looks like in some places and contrast what it could look like! And, above all, to make it clear that each individual bears responsibility for this through their behavior and that we can do better!"

Initially, three cleanliness motifs will be displayed across the city on large screens, on some SRB vehicles, on construction fence banners, at the entrance to the town hall in Lebenstedt, on social media and on postcards.

"We all want more cleanliness and safety and we can and must all do something to achieve this. That's why the chosen motifs aim to show exactly those situations where we are doing something wrong and show how we can do better. This starts with litter carelessly thrown on the lawn, which then has to be cleared away by employees of the municipal management company or committed fellow citizens - because fortunately they exist too. Littering also has something to do with the subjective feeling of safety. Where there is garbage lying around, we don't feel comfortable and always feel a little unsafe. That's why I hope that we can reach as many residents as possible with the publicity campaign to make our city Together.Safe.Clean." Klingebiel continues.

Further motifs will follow in the coming months, which will also focus on the areas of "safety" and "respect", among others.

"At the same time, we - the municipal public order service and police as well as the municipal cleaning service - will intensively continue the additional regulatory measures we have been implementing for almost 6 months. Appealing to and consistently punishing people is our way of getting some residents who have previously behaved disrespectfully towards their neighborhood and their environment to change their way of thinking," concludes Mayor Klingebiel.
