Stay fit in everyday life and at work with the VHS

The Volkshochschule (VHS) of the city of Salzgitter has free places on its course "Mental training - a contribution to health prevention for everyday working life", which is recognized as educational leave and takes place in November.

The Volkshochschule (VHS) of the city of Salzgitter has free places on its course "Mental training - a contribution to health prevention for everyday working life", which is recognized as educational leave and takes place in May.

Content: This training course promotes the development of knowledge on health prevention, in particular the connection between stress and physical complaints (such as headaches, shoulder or back pain). This knowledge should help to minimize the risk of stress-related illnesses and thus days of incapacity for work.

Participants deal with the following topics, among others: Manifestations of stress as well as the subsequent effects; stress and physical complaints and the basics of mental training (history, current state of research and basic neurological knowledge).

Information:

The educational leave (for full-time employees) takes place from Monday, November 3 to Friday, November 7 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Kniestedter Herrenhaus in Salzgitter-Bad (Braunschweiger Straße 137a) and costs 173 euros.

Registration deadline for working people using their entitlement to educational leave: September 29, 2025.

The course can also be booked as a one-week intensive course by people who do not wish to take educational leave. This must be indicated when registering.

Participants should wear comfortable clothing and bring warm socks.
