Many homeowners are currently asking themselves how they can reduce the energy consumption of their homes. Significant savings can be made by insulating walls or roofs and replacing windows and doors. Even if a heating system is about to be replaced, energy-related improvements to the building can increase efficiency so that smaller heating systems are sufficient.
But how costly is a refurbishment? Or is it possible to proceed in small steps? Which measures make sense and what subsidies are available? To answer these and other questions, interested parties can find out about the options for thermal insulation in residential buildings in a video presentation followed by a group consultation.
During the online event, an energy consultant from Verbraucherzentale Niedersachsen will first provide basic knowledge about thermal insulation in residential buildings and explain what to look out for when renovating the building envelope. Information will also be provided on funding opportunities. After the presentation, participants can ask their questions live to other advisors in smaller groups. These can be about technical and economic aspects or individual insulation materials, for example. Questions relating to specific circumstances in their own home can also be put to the experts.
Participation in the event is free of charge. Registration is required. Interested parties can register at www.klimaschutz-niedersachsen.de/veranstaltungen. The number of places is limited.
Background:
The event is a cooperation between the Climate Protection and Energy Agency of Lower Saxony and the Lower Saxony Consumer Advice Center as part of the "Energy transition at home" campaign. The campaign supports owners in making their residential buildings fit for the future in terms of energy.
