Information on the 2025 warning day in Salzgitter

On Thursday, September 11, the nationwide warning day will once again take place in Salzgitter, where various warning devices will be tested on a trial basis. A citizens' hotline will be set up to answer questions about this day and the warning options.

The citizens' hotline will be open on Thursday, September 11, from 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. at the main fire station on 05341/837-2750. Citizens who have questions about the warning day (for example: Triggering of the sirens, movements of loudspeaker trucks or failure to trigger the cell phone apps, etc.) please call this number 05341/837-2750.

This citizens' telephone is intended to relieve the Integrated Control Center (ILS) Salzgitter and the telephone switchboard of the city administration.

The warning day on Thursday, September 11, will take place between 11 am and 11:45 am.

The alert is planned for 11 a.m. on this day, the all-clear for 11.45 a.m.

The warning to be tested will be issued via the warning apps, cell broadcast, radio stations, news agencies and the municipal siren network. In addition, announcements will be made via mobile siren systems to warn and all-clear.
