The event is organized by the Salzgitter Senior Citizens' Office and the Seniorenbeirat and offers a varied programme for older citizens and interested people of all generations.
Numerous organizations, associations, companies and municipal institutions present themselves with information stands and provide insights into their offers and services. Citizens receive a wide range of information on topics relating to everyday life, health and social participation.
On the stage:
The stage program also offers a variety of entertainment: After the official opening, the Kwiatkowski dance school offers an active participation program at 10:20 am. The singing group from the Salzgitter-Lebenstedt senior citizens' meeting place will be providing a musical atmosphere from 11.00 a.m. and inviting people to sing along. The musical finale of the morning will be provided by the band "Die Schnulzenreiter" from 11.30 am.
A "quiet half hour" follows from 12.15 p.m., allowing visitors to explore the event site in a peaceful atmosphere.
The afternoon program begins with a round of squat gymnastics from the Fredenbergforum. From 1 pm, the band "New SoulGeneration" will provide musical entertainment. At 1.50 pm, the senior citizens' office invites you to a round of bingo with attractive prizes. The day will conclude at 2.15 p.m. with an instrumental performance by the Lower Saxony Police Orchestra. The event ends at 15:00.
As always, admission to Senior Citizens' Day is free!
The senior citizens' office and the senior citizens' meeting points will remain closed on the day of the event. The parking lot in front of the town hall will be closed from Wednesday due to construction work.
