Visitors can find out about the city administration's digital services and receive support in using them. Around 120 administrative services are already available online via the City of Salzgitter's service portal.
Workshop: BundID simply explained
A special offer is the workshop on BundID. This will take place from 10 to 11 a.m. in the council chamber of the town hall in Lebenstedt (Joachim-Campe-Straße 6-8). A presentation will show how to set up a BundID account and which digital services can then be used. Participants will try out what they have learned directly on site and receive support with the individual steps.
A smartphone with mobile internet access and an identity card, an electronic residence permit or a Union citizenship card are required for participation. In addition, the "AusweisApp Bund" is required, which participants can install on their smartphone in advance or during the workshop.
People who do not yet know their PIN for the online ID function of their ID card or have not received a PIN letter have the opportunity to set the PIN in the workshop.
Participation in the workshop is free of charge. However, due to the limited number of seats, registration is required via the online form BundID Workshop Registration - Serviceportal Stadt Salzgitter (opens in a new tab).
Use digital administrative services around the clock
Citizens can currently use around 120 administrative services digitally via the service portal - from vehicle registration or re-registration to waste management services and electronic residence registration. The service portal is available around the clock at service.salzgitter.de (opens in a new tab).
When is a BundID required?
A BundID and an ID card with online ID function are required for some digital services. The BundID is a digital citizen account that can be used nationwide. With it, users can securely log in to numerous online services of public authorities and complete applications completely digitally.
This includes motor vehicle services, electronic residence registration, applying for registration certificates, building services and, in future, applying for parental allowance.
