Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Lord Mayor Frank Klingebiel, is pleased to note: "In a third and final round of consultations for the 2025 funding year, the Board of Trustees of the Endlager Konrad Stiftungsgesellschaft mbH, under my chairmanship, has now approved funding of around 1.5 million euros for a further 11 projects. The funding amounts range from 2,300 euros for equipment for the Lebenstedt shooting sports community, to 27,000 euros for a wheel loader for maintenance and management work by the Salzgitter riding club on Mahner Berg, to two major projects by the Salzgitter riding club in Salder with 580,000 euros and VfL Salder with 626,000 euros."
This will enable the riding club to carry out urgently needed roof repairs and VFL Salder to modernize its "more than just outdated" cabin and club building to keep it up to date and functional.
Frank Klingebiel proudly continues: "With these latest decisions, we have funded a total of 125 projects with around 3 million euros in the 2025 funding year. There is no other foundation in our region that distributes such a high total amount of funding per year. Our Endlager Konrad Stiftungsgesellschaft mbH is a really strong pillar of our enormously important voluntary work. The range of projects is just as diverse as our urban society. This is very important to me, but also to the entire Board of Trustees."
Managing Directors Simone Kessner and Rainer Dworog add: "The application deadline for funding projects for the new funding year runs until March 31, 2026. The first decisions on this year's funding are expected to be made in the second quarter of 2026. We and the members of the Board of Trustees are looking forward to receiving new applications. Application forms and funding guidelines as well as further information on the Konrad-Fonds can be found on the city's website at www.salzgitter.de (keyword: Konradfonds). And there is also an innovation: for the first time, online applications can be submitted via the service portal."
