Familien-App Now Even Easier to Use

The Familien-App, launched in August 2024, is now significantly easier to use. All FAQs, which were previously organized by life stages, have been reorganized by topic and updated, and are now also available in nine foreign languages.

Over the past few months, the Children, Youth, and Family Services Department—with support from other specialized departments and the citywide network—has revised, updated, and reorganized the existing FAQs in the Familien-App. FAQ lists that were previously difficult to navigate are now organized by topic and can be accessed individually. This allows users to find answers to their questions even faster and more conveniently.

Another significant advantage is that all information in the Familien-App is now available in nine foreign languages. To access it, click the letter icon at the top of the mobile view or in the toolbar (desktop version) and select the desired language. The available languages are: English, French, Arabic, Turkish, Romanian, Bulgarian, Polish, Ukrainian, and Russian.

The City of Salzgitter’s Familien-App can be found here (opens in a new tab).

Get even more information via push notifications:

A major advantage of the Familien-App is that users can now subscribe to receive the latest information via push notifications. To do this, simply enable the “Subscribe to Notifications” feature listed in the menu.

To receive these notifications, push notifications must also be enabled. Even enabled power-saving options can prevent you from receiving push notifications.
