Winter road clearance:

The winter service of the municipal public works department (SRB) is proceeding according to plan. All snow clearing vehicles have been in operation since 4 a.m. and the employees of the pedestrian crews have started their clearing and gritting service.

Due to the heavy snowfall in combination with stormy winds, even cleared roads are covered in snow again within a short time. The SRB asks all road users to adapt their driving style to the weather conditions.

Garbage collection:

Due to the worsening road conditions and partial snow drifts, refuse collection has been completely suspended for today.

The SRB asks that organic waste garbage cans and yellow garbage cans that could not be emptied today be returned to the property and made available again on the next scheduled emptying date.

If the volume of the yellow garbage can is not sufficient by the next emptying date, packaging can also be collected in transparent bags, which will then be taken along on the next regular emptying date as an exception.

Fire department operations:

There were currently no weather-related operations by the fire department up to Friday morning. The professional fire department asks you to refrain from all non-essential car journeys and trips on foot.
