In Salzgitter, too, there will be a series of events and offers in March, primarily for women, to inspire them, encourage them to defend themselves, develop their own perspectives, exchange ideas and recover from their commitment to themselves and others.

On March 1, at 10 a.m., the Equal Opportunities Officer, Simone Semmler, and the young women from the district meeting point "Start-Punkt" will open the Women's Day Weeks with the exhibition "We are the daughters too" in Lebenstedt town hall.

Based on the phrase "Ask your daughters" as part of the cityscape debate, the girls and young women from Start-Punkt have staged the daughters addressed in their area as part of a photo campaign, in all their strength, cheerfulness and diversity.

In addition, they present the results of their art project "My place in life" in which they visualized their life goals and dreams. The results invite you to take a seat and start a conversation.
This project will be honored by a greeting from the First Mayor Stefan Klein.

March 8 is movie day. If you like, you have the chance of a wonderful and very long day at the movies.

Kinotag starts at 11 a.m. at Cinema Salzgitter-Bad with "Little Woman" followed by a small snack. The mothers' center's cinema matinee takes place in cooperation with the Equal Opportunities Department and Angelika Schubert (formerly AGF). Tickets are available at the SOS Mütterzentrum.

At coffee time at 3 p.m., it's off to the Gewerkschaftshaus for "A Day Without Women" about the Women's Strike Day in Iceland is the perfect choice to celebrate the power of women showing solidarity. Admission free.
