The "Julius Club" ("Youth reads and writes") will start lending books in Salzgitter on Friday, June 19. All young people of the specified age can register free of charge at the city libraries in Salzgitter-Bad, Lebenstedt and Fredenberg.
"Club members can look forward to the latest books for children and young people. There is something for every taste: novels and non-fiction books, comics and mangas as well as audio books. And there are once again the free weekly hands-on activities. We have once again booked fantastic events for the club, such as programming with Scratch or building your own robot with Lego and much more," announces Sylvia Fiedler, Head of the City Library.
Anyone who has read and rated two books during the summer will receive the "Julius Diploma". As always, there are great prizes to be won at the end of the reading summer!
Information:
You can register for the Julius Club directly at the city libraries, by e-mail to lesefoerderungstadt.salzgitterde or by telephone on 05341/ 839-3434. Questions will also be answered.
The "Julius-Club" ("Jugend liest und schreibt") is a project of the VGH-Stiftung and the Büchereizentrale Niedersachsen, which takes place in 50 public libraries in Lower Saxony.
In addition to reading fun, the project also aims to strengthen the ability to express oneself and understand texts. The club will run until August 19, 2026.
