Salzgitter

Places still available at the Kunst- und Kreativschule

The City of Salzgitter's Kunst- und Kreativschule (KuK) has started the new year. There are still a few places available in the creative courses on offer for the first quarter of 2026.

However, many popular courses are already fully booked. That's why you need to be quick, look for a course that appeals to you on the Kunst- und Kreativschule's online store website and register quickly so that you can book one of the coveted places for yourself.

There are still places available on these courses

On Sunday, February 8, from 2 p.m. to 3.30 p.m., magnificent masks reminiscent of the traditional masks of the Venice Carnival will be created in keeping with the upcoming carnival season. Participants do not have to stick to the historical templates and can give free rein to their creativity. The masks can then be tried out at the next carnival party or carnival parade in Braunschweig. They can also be used to decorate any room wall. Children aged seven to nine can take part. Participation costs 5 euros.

One of KuK's most popular courses, which are always booked out quickly, is the mandala painting course. It takes place on Thursday, February 19, from 4 pm to 6.15 pm. The circular templates are copied by the participants as stencils. Then the gaps between the black outlines can be colored in individually with different pens. Rectangular colorful frames are then used to give the artwork a worthy finish.
Participation costs 7.50 euros and is aimed at children aged eight to ten.

On Thursday, February 26, from 3 to 4.30 p.m., button snail cards will be made. This involves sticking colorful buttons onto cardboard, painting and decorating it. This is a quick and easy way to create a beautiful card for personal greetings.
Participation costs 5 euros and is aimed at children aged six to eight.

And when Easter is not far away in March, participants can make pompom eggs on Saturday, March 7, from 2 to 3.30 pm.
The little fuzzy balls are glued onto a large cardboard egg tag. Colorful Easter decorations are created with different pompoms. The course is aimed at children aged five to seven. Participation costs 5 euros.

Anyone who has always wanted to customize their own mug or is looking for a gift that they have designed themselves can do so on Thursday, March 12, from 4 to 6.15 p.m. at the "Coffee mugs with a spring motif" course. As coffee is not really for children aged eight to ten, the container does not necessarily have to be a coffee cup, tea cups, cocoa cups or cups for other favorite drinks can also be used. With a lot of imagination, the cups are transformed into individual unique pieces. Colorfully painted with various Easter motifs, the result is a cheerful, space-saving, stackable Easter cup collection for the whole family. Participation costs 7.50 euros and is for children aged eight to ten.
