The legendary rock icon will once again perform in front of Salder Castle in Salzgitter-Salder as part of the Kultursommer and will kick off the open-air concerts in the Salder Castle courtyard on Thursday, July 30, at 8 p.m. She last rocked the Kultursommer stage in 2010 and is returning to celebrate rock ’n’ roll with her audience after 16 years.
Suzi Quatro, born in Detroit in 1950, is a living legend of the rock music industry. As a singer, bassist, actress, author, and radio host, she has had a major influence on the music world. She began her career at a young age in her family’s band, “The Art Quatro Trio,” and at age 14 played alongside her sister Patti in the band “The Pleasure Seekers.” With her signature mix of leather, bass, and boundless energy, she became one of the first women not only to make her mark in the rock business but also to significantly shape the scene. In 1973, she scored her worldwide number-one hit with “Can The Can.” This was followed by other classics such as “48 Crash,” “Devil Gate Drive,” and the U.S. duet “Stumblin’ In.” In total, she sold over 55 million records.
The event is organized by the City of Salzgitter’s Department of Cultural Affairs. Tickets are available online at www.salzgitter.de/kulturvomamt (opens in a new tab).
