Following the completion of the new daycare center and elementary school buildings in June 2025 and May 2026, respectively, the demolition of the old, disused buildings is now the next step toward completing the overall project. First, a section of the existing gymnasium that is no longer usable will be demolished later this month. Starting in September, the demolition of the old school and daycare center buildings will follow, and is expected to be completed in November.

The work may cause noise and dust disturbances for nearby residents. The contractor has been instructed to use low-noise machinery and to minimize dust by spraying water. In addition, nearby residents were informed of the upcoming construction work by letter.

The cost of the demolition work is expected to be approximately 200 T€ euros.

The city administration asks residents for their understanding regarding the resulting inconvenience.

What happens after the dismantling is complete?

Once demolition is complete, a new sports hall will be built on the site, and work on the outdoor areas will begin. According to current plans, the entire campus of the Am Salze daycare center and elementary school is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2028.
