Construction work on site is expected to begin the week of October 5. The entire project is scheduled for completion by the end of April 2027. For the duration of the project, the entire area must be completely closed to the public.

The plan is to transform the square into an attractive gathering place for the neighborhood. As part of the construction work, existing paths will be repaired, new playground equipment and modern safety surfacing will be installed, new seating areas will be added, a wildflower meadow will be created, and a tree will be planted.

Since a significant portion of the construction work will take place during the winter months, the administration notes that weather conditions may cause delays in the construction schedule. The administration asks all residents for their understanding regarding the necessary restrictions and closure periods during the construction phase. Once the work is complete, children and residents will have access to a modern and safely designed playground.
