Motorradgedenkfahrt 2026

Traffic restrictions on Saturday, April 25, in the Salzgitter-Lebenstedt area and around the A39 highway

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, the Motorradgedenkfahrt from Braunschweig to Salzgitter will take place, with numerous participants remembering motorcyclists who have been involved in accidents. The event serves as a silent commemoration and to raise awareness for greater road safety.

In connection with the memorial ride, there may be traffic disruptions in the period from approx. 14:30 to 16:00. Temporary restrictions and delays are to be expected, especially at the junctions of the A39 highway (Thiede, Salzgitterhüttenblick service area, Lebenstedt-Nord and Watenstedt). Escort vehicles and police measures to secure the convoy may also affect the flow of traffic.

It will not be possible to turn from Peiner Straße into Konrad-Adenauer-Straße in a westerly direction while the convoy is passing. In addition, there will be a stopping ban on the right-hand hard shoulder of Konrad-Adenauer-Straße in the direction of the city from 14:00 to 16:00.

Road users are asked to avoid the affected areas as far as possible, to allow extra time for their journeys and to follow the instructions of the emergency services on site.

We ask for your understanding for the necessary measures and thank all road users for their consideration.
