What is it like to fly without an engine? What natural forces keep an airplane in the air?: Answers to these and other questions will be available from Thursday, March 26, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Sportgemeinschaft Aero Salzgitter.

The course teaches the basics of aerodynamics and aviation meteorology. Participants will learn how the aircraft instruments and controls work and, after the theory, experience what flying feels like: taking off in a two-seater with a flight instructor!

Information:

The introductory course "Gliding" starts on Thursday, March 26 (7 to 8.30 pm). The other dates are: Thursday, April 9, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Sunday, April 12, from 2 to 5 p.m. and Thursday, April 16, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the clubhouse of the Sportgemeinschaft Aero Salzgitter (gliding site at Salzgittersee).

The four dates are for theory and information. The additional flight date will be agreed individually during the course between the participants and the Sportgemeinschaft Aero Salzgitter. The course costs 99 euros and also includes the cost of the flight.

Prerequisites for participation:

Normal physical fitness (as for longer bike rides), no serious illnesses; maximum body weight of 100 kilograms; maximum height of two meters and at least 14 years old.
