Lecture series on the topic of summer heat in May

From April to August 2026, the City of Salzgitter's senior citizens' office is offering various informative presentations to inform people who are particularly affected by the heat on hot summer days and anyone else who is interested.

The lectures will be held at various locations in Salzgitter under the title "Precautions on hot days for older and particularly vulnerable people". The topics revolve around personal precautionary measures that everyone can take during periods of heat. They range from tips on how to behave in the event of heat-related complaints to how to protect your own house or apartment from the summer heat.

The speakers are experts from the health sector, from the Lower Saxony Consumer Advice Center, a provider of first aid courses, BKK Salzgitter and the Federal Ministry for Radiation Protection.
