Salzgitter

Divorce guide updated

Marriages, it is commonly said, are made in heaven and lived on earth - and sometimes they are shipwrecked.

In addition to the emotional turmoil of disappointment, guilt and grief that needs to be sorted, there are also many fundamental questions that need to be asked and answered.

Especially for women who have retired from working life or have greatly reduced their working hours for the family, there is a need for clarification on questions of returning to work, livelihood, custody and many other issues that need to be considered beforehand.

The equal opportunities officers of the districts and independent cities in this region have reissued the well-known guide "Separation and Divorce", which has been legally revised, adapted to current case law and the extensive directory of advice centers updated.

At 92 pages, the brochure is no substitute for qualified life or legal advice, but it can provide initial orientation for the most important questions and help to find access to the right advice centers.

It is available from the Department for Equality of the City of Salzgitter, the counseling centers, the educational counseling center and below on this website for download.
