Salzgitter

Painting campaign and ideas competition

The city of Salzgitter is planning to publish a booklet on the child- and family-friendly city.

The planned publication is to be illustrated with self-painted pictures. Mayor Frank Klingebiel is therefore asking all children and young people in the city to paint a beautiful picture during the summer vacations with their wishes and ideas for "The child and family-friendly city". They are also welcome to add written ideas and wishes. These painted "wish lists" will be evaluated by the new children's representative of the city of Salzgitter and checked for feasibility.

Klingebiel: "Only if I know the needs and wishes of the children and young people in our city can I make a difference for them." "I am therefore hoping for lively participation during the summer vacations," continued Klingebiel. On the occasion of the launch event for the booklet on the child and family-friendly city of Salzgitter at the beginning of September, the entries will be publicly exhibited in the town hall. Attractive prizes with a total value of 300 euros will be raffled off among all participants.

Mayor Frank Klingebiel would also like to redesign the Salzgitter logo for child and family-related documents to reflect the theme. In addition to children and young people, all adult citizens are also invited to submit suggestions. The most creative suggestions will be professionally edited and put to the vote in the Salzgitter Zeitung. The winner will receive an individual prize worth 150 euros. The closing date for entries is September 1.
