A jury of Salzgitter personalities from the fields of media, business and education will now evaluate the designs and select a winner. The jury members are: Lord Mayor Frank Klingebiel, Luitgard Heissenberg (Salzgitter Zeitung), Heinz-Jörg Fuhrmann (Member of the Executive Board Salzgitter AG), Volker Küch (Vice President of the Braunschweig/Wolfenbüttel University of Applied Sciences) and a child of an employee of the city administration.

The winning design will be professionally prepared and will be displayed on all child and family-friendly correspondence in future. A prize draw will also be held among all participants. There are attractive prizes with a total value of 300 euros to be won. The submitted works were published in the Salzgitter newspaper on Saturday, September 8, and have since been on public display in Salzgitter Town Hall together with the results of a parallel painting campaign.
