From September 15 to 17, 2 to 6 p.m., children at the Grundschule am See will design and create nameplates for the entrance area of the playground and for two to three pieces of playground equipment. The letters will be sawn out of wood or plastic, colored and attached to a wooden board. The signs will be unveiled at the opening ceremony. The contact person is Sundari Arlt.
A pirate flag for the pirate playground will be painted on September 15 and 16 from 2 to 6 pm at the Diakonie Seevierteltreff. The flag will be permanently installed on the playground. Other pirate flags can also be created and displayed during the opening. Contact: Laura van Joolen.
What is still missing on the square? As part of this working group, coconuts, real pirates, monkeys, banana cannons or treasures can be made out of papier-mâché. These items can possibly be integrated into the theater performance, but in any case they will be decorated at the opening. Alternatively, a pirate treasure can also be made and built.
A pirate play will be developed and practiced at the Forelle youth club from 15 to 17 September, 3 to 6 pm. The children will use small scenes to playfully explore the various play equipment and spin stories about the playground. At the opening, the play will be performed on and around the playground equipment. Contact person: Jens Wirsching.
On Friday, September 19, an adventure day will be offered from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m., where children and young people can experience and enliven a place together. There will be a variety of adventure-based educational and playful activities, where the pirate playground and community can be experienced and perceived in a new way. The theater group will also hold a dress rehearsal on the playground equipment during the day of action.
The day of action is open, so even those who have not taken part in the working groups are welcome to take part in the pirate games and the big treasure hunt. For organizational reasons, however, we can only work with a limited number of children and young people. Offers: dress rehearsal of the theater group, big treasure hunt game for everyone, pirate games around the playground, completion of the pirate manifesto, possibly painting pirate flags for everyone, barbecue around the campfire for everyone (food contribution: 2 euros), singing pirate songs around the campfire.
On Saturday, September 20, the opening party will take place with the following contributions to the artistic program: Performance of a pirate performance, inauguration of the square, hoisting of the pirate flag, unveiling of the signs, inauguration of the youth square (for example, self-made seating, barbecue area), reading of the pirate manifesto.
