Corruption prevention

The task of corruption prevention is to prevent and combat corruption.

Description

Description

Corrupt behavior such as accepting benefits, bribery, granting benefits and bribery are not trivial offenses, but lead directly to criminal liability. Corruption harms everyone: It leads to economic damage and weakens citizens' trust in the independence and ability of the state to act. The fight against corruption therefore concerns everyone: Society, business and public administration!

Corruption can be effectively combated with targeted prevention. The city of Salzgitter makes use of a wide variety of measures in this regard. For example, the service directive on the prevention of corruption offenses regulates whether and to what extent employees of the city administration may accept rewards, gifts or other benefits. The acceptance of cash is prohibited without exception!
