A permit is required for events in which the number of participants or their behavior takes up more public roads than is usual for traffic. Events requiring a permit are, for example, cycle races, cycle tours, fun runs, inline skating races, triathlon competitions, classic car or orienteering tours or similar events.

Information is required on

• the type and occasion of the event
• the venue and date of the event
• the duration of the event
• the number of participants / vehicles
• the course of the route
• the starting procedure

A route plan and proof of organizer's liability insurance must be enclosed.
