If you wish to hunt in Germany, you will need a German falconry license in your name.

If your annual hunting license for foreign falconers has been revoked, you can reapply for it after the specified retention period has expired.

Falconry licenses may only be issued to foreigners who do not yet hold a German falconry license after they have passed the German falconry examination or a falconry examination equivalent to the German falconry examination in their home country. The supreme hunting authority decides whether a foreign falconry examination is recognized as equivalent.

Prerequisites:

• at least 18 years old at the time of issue
• personal reliability
• physical fitness
• completed hunting liability insurance
• Falconry hunting license already issued has been revoked
• Elapsed ban period

• current photograph, if applicable
• Proof of statutory hunting liability insurance

The annual hunting license is valid for a maximum of three consecutive hunting years. The hunting year begins on 01.04. and ends on 31.03..
