If you are a foreign national and wish to hunt in Germany, you will need a German falconry hunting license and hunting permit in your name.

If you are already in possession of these hunting licenses as annual hunting licenses but their validity has expired, you can apply for an extension.

Falconry hunting licences may only be issued to foreigners who do not yet hold a German falconry hunting licence after they have passed the German falconry examination or a falconry examination equivalent to the German falconry examination in their home country. The supreme hunting authority decides whether a foreign falconry examination is recognized as equivalent.

The annual hunting license is valid for a maximum of three consecutive hunting years. The hunting year begins on 01.04. and ends on 31.03..
