If, in individual cases, a business activity conflicts with the requirements or prohibitions of the German Road Traffic Regulations (StVO), a special permit can be applied for. This applies, for example, to exceptions

• from the regulations on road use,
• from the ban on entering a highway or a motorway or using it with vehicles not registered there,
• from the regulations on stopping and parking,
• from the regulations on vehicle and load dimensions,
• regulations on the wearing of seat belts and safety helmets,
• the ban on driving on Sundays and public holidays,
• the ban on placing obstacles on the road,
• the prohibition on operating loudspeakers and offering goods or services on the road,
• the ban on advertising and propaganda in connection with traffic signs
• prohibitions or restrictions imposed by regulatory signs or directional signs, and
• the ban on parking vehicles over 7.5 tons and trailers over 2 tons in residential areas at night or on Sundays and public holidays.
