An international registration certificate, also known as an international vehicle registration certificate, is a translation of your Certificate of Registration, Part I, into several languages. Your international vehicle registration certificate serves as a supplement to your vehicle documents.

With an international registration certificate, you can travel with your car to countries outside the European Union (EU). If you wish to travel within the EU with your vehicle, your regular vehicle registration certificate (Part I) is sufficient.
