Media centers and image centers support the school authorities in providing schools, daycare centers and other educational institutions with suitable media and equipment. They advise on their use and train teachers and multipliers in youth and adult education in media education and media technology.

The focus is on imparting basic knowledge of video and sound production, handling the technology, camera work and image design as well as the active application of the theory taught.

Media centers and image centers have an extensive range of various media with the necessary usage rights and equipment and offer a corresponding technical service. Media centers in state, municipal or church sponsorship follow a non-profit educational mission.

Prerequisites:
Affiliation to schools (teachers), authorities, non-profit or registered associations, extracurricular educational institutions, church communities, as well as youth and adult education institutions. Lending to private individuals is subject to the lending conditions of the respective institution.
