As a professional guardian, you assist adults who are no longer able to manage their (legal, financial and/or health) affairs on their own due to illness or disability. Reasons for the need for legal support may include mental illness and addiction or mental, physical and age-related limitations.

As a professional caregiver, you act in a supportive or representative capacity within the scope of the tasks defined by the court, taking into account the wishes of the person concerned.
