If you are a German citizen living in Germany and would like to vote in the Europawahl elections, you must first be entered in the electoral roll or have a polling card. Entry in the electoral roll is either automatic or you must submit an application.

An application for entry in the electoral roll must be submitted in writing no later than 21 days before the election. It must contain the

• family name
• the first names
• the date of birth
• the exact address,
• the application must be signed personally and by hand
