of people with and without disabilities can be improved.
Mr. Schimkat also advises families of people with disabilities.
Mr. Schimkat works with many people to achieve this.
For example withz:
- the state commissioner for people with disabilities
- the Inclusion Council of Lower Saxony.
There is an advisory board for people with disabilities in Salzgitter.
Mr. Schimkat is its managing director and advisory member.
An advisory board is a working group of the city.
The tasks of the Disability Officer:
- Eliminate disadvantages for people with disabilities,
- enable people to participate in life on an equal footing,
- Improve cooperation between all important bodies
for people with disabilities.
