When is admission to the individual events?

• Admission for the events in the castle courtyard is at 6.30 pm.
• Admission for the events in the Mühlengarten is at 7 pm.

Is there a box office?

Yes, the box office (at the Hinter dem Knick entrance) opens at the start of each event. Payment can only be made in cash.

Admission to the event site is via the street Hinter dem Knick opposite the castle pond.

Note: The street Hinter dem Knick is designated as a one-way street from the junction with Parkstraße to the junction with Gerichtsweg.

Do the events also take place in the rain?

The events take place in all weathers, unless there is an official warning.

Are there security checks?

Yes, the admission staff will check bags for security reasons.

Is food and drink available on site?

Yes, there is a catering service on site. Payment can only be made in cash.

Can I bring my own food/drinks?

No, this is not permitted.

Where can I park?

The city of Salzgitter expects many visitors from the region, but also from all over Germany, to attend the Kultursommer events at Salder Castle Municipal Museum. For this reason, guests should use parking spaces in the wider vicinity of the castle if possible.

Free parking is available in the immediate vicinity of the event venue on the meadow behind the castle. Due to the large number of out-of-town guests expected at some concerts, it may be difficult to find a parking space.

If possible, visitors from Salzgitter should travel by public transport. Salder can be reached via bus routes 612 and 613 (Lebenstedt-Gebhardshagen-Salzgitter-Bad). Information on exact travel times can be found on the KVG website at www.kvg-braunschweig.de (opens in a new tab).
