The quintet from Göttingen combines western swing, Hawaiian swing and blues
The five-piece band "Front Porch Picking" from Göttingen presents a sound mix that is unique in Germany, combining western and Hawaiian swing, improvisation and blues. The instrumentation is unusual and consists of steel guitar, electric guitars, mandolin, ukulele, bass and drums.
Whether with the rousing rhythms of western swing, the relaxed tropical atmosphere of Hawaiian swing or the smoky, soulful blues - the band knows how to combine the different genres in an impressive way while still retaining their very own style. The good mood on stage quickly spreads to the audience.
