With “Mississippi Revisited – Songs Along The Road #3,” the musician, storyteller, and blues connoisseur once again invites you to a fascinating evening filled with music, images, and stories.

“Once you’ve experienced the South, it never lets you go,” says Arndt. After several trips through the region, he now returns with new songs, authentic encounters, and fresh impressions from the land of the blues. The result is an atmospheric live performance that brings music history to life—honest, emotional, and full of soul.

The new program follows an imaginary route from Memphis through the Mississippi Delta to Clarksdale and Natchez, on to New Orleans, into the swamps of Louisiana, and all the way to the Gulf of Mexico. Landscapes, history, and cultural influences aren’t merely described—they’re brought to life through music.

Images of wide highways, old juke joints, and the mighty Mississippi accompany the storytelling, while Arndt uses his voice and guitar to evoke the sounds that originated there: blues, gospel, country, and Americana.

A key innovation of this program: for the first time, all songs are original compositions faithful to the genre. Richie Arndt translates the musical language of the Southern states into new, authentic pieces—deeply rooted in blues, soul, and Americana, yet at once personal and contemporary.
These are songs that sound as if they belong exactly where this music was born. “Mississippi Revisited – Songs Along The Road #3” is a tribute to the people and places—far from the headlines and world politics—to the power of music, and to the Southern way of life.
A musical journey that moves, inspires, and sweeps the audience along—on a ride through the heart and soul of America.
