Listeners to the VHS online lecture are there when three friends of art come together to discuss important works of art from the "Neue Pinakothek" in Munich and the "Hamburger Kunsthalle".

The audience is actively involved. All they need to do is have a few utensils ready. Surfaces and materials are touched and the sense of smell is activated. They not only listen to the stimulating conversation of the three art experts, but also taste, smell and feel the art. A new experience of experiencing art with all the senses.

It is about two top works by Max Liebermann (1847 - 1935): "The Terrace of the Hotel Louis C. Jacob in Nienstedten an der Elbe" from 1902 in the "Hamburger Kunsthalle" and the "Munich Beer Garden", a popular motif from the Neue Pinakothek in Munich from 1884.

To actively participate, simply have a beer glass or mug and a small toy, a lime leaf and a hat ready.

• Jochen Meister works at the Neue Pinakothek in Munich. Both are art historians with many years of experience in art education.
• Claudia Böhme is a historian and an expert in cultural programs for people with visual impairments.
