About the story:

When Nils Trojan and his colleague Carlotta Weiss are called to a crime scene, their breath catches in their throats. A woman has been brutally murdered, and the killer has left behind a macabre signature—a small doll made from a human bone. As forensic analysis reveals, the bone comes from a victim who died ten years earlier—a case that was never solved. But what is the connection to this cold case?

As more murders follow this disturbing pattern, the pressure mounts on Carlotta Weiss and Nils Trojan to finally deliver a breakthrough. Eventually, they stumble upon a mysterious clue that leads them to the tower room of an old villa. And there, a truth is revealed that surpasses anything Carlotta and Nils could ever have imagined...
