Event information
Date & time
This event is more than just a traditional reading by the author, as Mika Grimm (a pen name for Simone Veenstra) enhances it with evocative images and selected audio clips.
The event is based on the first case from the EUROPA NEXT radio drama series “Mordwind Rügen,” titled “Lullaby for the Katen Prince.”
Synopsis: Europol Commissioner Leif Hartmann (voiced by Christoph Maria Herbst),who has been placed on leave following a tragic operation, returns to the three-sided farmstead of his childhood.
But instead of peace and a place of refuge, he finds rotting beams, broken windows—and his reclusive uncle Maule (voiced by Jürgen Wolters).
Then, however, a body turns up, and Hartmann begins to investigate—with Maule and his childhood friend Marietti (voiced by Sabine Arnhold), a private investigator with a mysterious past, by his side.
The Reading:
Author Mika Grimm takes the audience right into the heart of the mystery:
She reads key passages and brings the audience up close to the characters, settings, and suspenseful moments.
She enhances this with photographs of the wonderful island, thereby creating a visual atmosphere. Clips from the original radio play underscore this experience and allow the audience to immerse themselves in this crime radio play.
This combination—the wonderfully quirky characters from the radio play, plus insider tips for the vacation island of Rügen—is something truly unique.
