The city of Salzgitter intends to implement renaturation measures to develop watercourses on municipal land in the Fuhse floodplain between the A39 freeway and Theodor-Heuss-Straße. The city council approved the planning and implementation of these measures on March 31, 2022. The renaturation is also part of the city's concept of measures to improve the watercourses in Salzgitter and is supported by state funds from the program of measures for watercourse development.

Employees of the "Ingenieurgemeinschaft agwa GmbH", which has been commissioned to prepare the approval planning, are therefore currently active for surveys in the planning area until 30.04.2024.

These persons act as representatives of the nature conservation administration and may also enter other areas in the planning area in addition to the municipal areas as required.
