Salzgitter

Everyone can save energy

After "clever heating!" and the "night walk with thermal imaging camera", the city of Salzgitter is once again offering advice for its citizens as part of its climate protection concept.

Ringelheim development area

This time, under the title "The house turnaround", the focus is on energy-related topics.

Energy modernization measures, such as the installation of efficient heating, the use of renewable energies, improved insulation or modern windows can reduce energy consumption by more than three quarters. This pays off for the homeowner and protects the environment.

Two information events are being offered in Salzgitter: On Tuesday, September 13, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. in the rooms of the Volkshochschule, Thiestraße 26a, in Lebenstedt and on Thursday, September 15, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at WIS, Windmühlenbergstraße 20, in Salzgitter-Bad. The events are free of charge for all participants.

At both events, the Lower Saxony Consumer Center will present the complex "house" system. Experts will report on how best to design a modernization project, which detailed consultations have the greatest benefit and what should be paid particular attention to during planning and implementation.

It is the first cross-trade refurbishment campaign for the whole of Germany. It was launched by the Alliance for Building Energy Efficiency (geea). In addition to the German Energy Agency (dena), the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), the Lower Saxony Consumer Advice Center and, in the region, the Regional Energy Agency (REA) and the city of Salzgitter are also involved.
