Two other outdoor pools in Salzgitter can be used during this time: the indoor and outdoor pool in Salzgitter-Thiede (run by a gGmbH) and (also privately run) the Waldschwimmbad in Salzgitter-Gebhardshagen.

As the first measures in the course of the redesign, the former sauna and entrance hall/restaurant, the existing outdoor pool changing room and the functional buildings will be completely demolished in preparation for the second construction phase. For this reason, the outdoor pool will have to be completely closed from June 6 to August 7 due to noise pollution and the risk of accidents.

On June 5, pictures and plans of the future pool can be viewed during an open day. A guided tour of the technical rooms will also be offered on this day.
