The overall concept is divided into two construction phases.
The first phase involves the complete demolition of the former sauna and entrance hall/restaurant, the existing outdoor pool changing room and the functional buildings in preparation for the second construction phase.
Otherwise, the first construction phase consists of the extension part (entrance and bathing hall with multi-purpose pool and children's pool) and the conversion part (partial conversion of changing rooms, conversion of course pool).
The second construction phase consists of the conversion of the remaining changing room wing and the renovation of the large bathing hall with the swimmers' pool. The purpose of this step-by-step approach is to keep the other construction phase in operation while one is being completed, so that swimming operations can continue uninterrupted - apart from short-term interruptions.
The planned operation after the extension of the indoor pool is a classic regional combined pool with 2 different leisure facilities: Indoor pool and outdoor pool.
The focus of the facility is on basic public services with sports facilities, particularly for schools and clubs, and leisure activities. On December 21, 2015, the city's administrative committee decided to renew the facility.
