The first demolition and renovation work at the indoor outdoor pool on Salzgittersee has been successfully completed. From Tuesday, August 23, the sports pool in the swimming hall will be open again.
The renovation is deliberately being carried out in two construction phases in order to keep restrictions for users to a minimum.
The sports pool can be used until the end of 2017. The new water areas will then be available to guests from January 2018. The rest of the refurbishment and renovation work is scheduled for completion in December 2018.
The focus of the facility is on basic public provision with sports facilities, especially for schools and clubs, and leisure activities.
