Salzgitter

Neighborhood concept in Gebhardshagen

In Salzgitter-Gebhardshagen, the city of Salzgitter is drawing up an energy district concept. This concept will set out the next development goals for an area around Sonnenbergweg.

All owners and residents of the neighborhood are invited to the kick-off event on Thursday, March 15, 6:30 p.m., in the Wasserburg stables in Salzgitter-Gebhardshagen.

An energy district concept is a guide for the development of a district in the areas of energy efficiency and climate protection, but also touches on many other areas of life in the district. The main stakeholders are the residents and owners in the neighborhood. In several working groups and with the help of experienced experts, perspectives for the neighborhood are jointly developed for the coming years.

"Neighbourhood concepts have proven their worth throughout Germany in getting the residents of neighbourhoods involved in the medium and long-term development of their living environment," emphasizes Jan Holzenbecher, climate protection manager for the city of Salzgitter. He continues: "We would also like to offer this here and hope for lively participation from the neighborhood residents and owners."
