Election notifications will be delivered

The official notifications will be sent to all eligible voters in the next few days, according to the election office of the city of Salzgitter. The electoral office recommends paying close attention to whether a voter's notification is in the letterbox.

It will be sent to all Germans and EU citizens who are at least 18 years old on election day and are entered in the electoral register. A missing polling card can be an indication that you are not on the electoral roll. But only those who are registered can vote on May 26.

Anyone who has not received a voter's notification by May 5 but believes they are entitled to vote should therefore clarify their voting rights. You can call 05341 / 839-3823 to check whether you have been entered in the electoral roll, which is important for voting.

In addition, the voters' register can be inspected at the BürgerCenter in Salzgitter-Lebenstedt town hall and the BürgerCenter Salzgitter-Bad during general opening hours from May 6 to 10 to determine eligibility to vote. During this period, eligible voters have the right to check the accuracy and completeness of their own data in the electoral roll. No objections to the electoral roll are possible after May 10.

Postal voting

Anyone who is unable to take part in the election on election day can already apply for postal voting in writing or electronically. From April 23, postal votes can also be cast in person at the town hall in Salzgitter-Lebenstedt (meeting room 66, atrium upper floor) and at the Salzgitter-Bad branch office.

Postal voting documents can be requested by e-mail at briefwahlbuerostadt.salzgitterde or using the online form available on the Internet at www.salzgitter.de. The documents will be sent out from April 23 at the earliest, so the address that is valid from this date must be given. It is not possible to apply by telephone.
