Salzgitter

Online seminars on energy-saving construction

"Energy efficiency in new buildings - how does it work?": Under this title, the city of Salzgitter is offering two free online seminars on July 1 and 8 in cooperation with the Climate Protection and Energy Agency of Lower Saxony (KEAN). Registration is now open.

There are many beautiful building areas in Salzgitter, such as here in Lichtenberg, 1st construction phase.

Anyone who wants to build their own home has a lot of questions and needs a lot of information. In cooperation with the city of Salzgitter, the Climate Protection and Energy Agency of Lower Saxony (KEAN) is offering all those interested in building two online seminars on the topics of energy efficiency, heat supply, the use of renewable energies and funding opportunities.

On Wednesday, July 1, from 5.30 to 7 p.m., the first online seminar will focus on the topic of "Energy efficiency in construction". The speaker will be Klaus Michael, head of the Low Energy Institute in Detmold. In the lecture, he will provide information on various energy efficiency standards and the energy efficiency of individual building components.

Questions such as "How should and can the building be supplied with electrical energy and heat?" "What do people interested in building need to pay particular attention to and what funding opportunities are there for efficiency measures?" will be answered, as will "What is a passive house?" and "What is an energy-efficient building?"

There is also the opportunity to ask questions during or after the presentation via the chat function.

Participation is free of charge. Registration is required. Registration is possible until June 26 at the link www.klimaschutz-niedersachsen.de/energieeffizienz-neubau.

When registering, interested parties will receive a dial-in code for the seminar from KEAN. To ensure that individual questions can be answered, a telephone consultation with the speaker will take place after the webinar.

The second online seminar entitled "Residual heat supply in passive houses and funding opportunities" will take place on Wednesday, July 8, from 5.30 to 7 pm. The focus will be on building technology, residual heat supply and the cost-effectiveness of photovoltaic systems as well as funding opportunities for energy-efficient construction. It will also be led by Klaus Michael. In addition, Benjamin Krick from the Passive House Institute in Darmstadt and Eckard von Schwerin from the Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW) will each give a presentation.

There will also be another opportunity to ask questions during or after the presentation via the chat function.

Participation is free of charge. Registration is required. Registration is possible until July 2 via the link www.klimaschutz-niedersachsen.de/heizung-foerderung-neubau.
